Robyn is a freelance journalist based in Washington, D.C. You can read her work in such publications as the Washington Post Express, the Onion AV Club, BizBash.com, the Prince of Petworth blog, and various other websites. The former television writer (for Home and Garden Television and CourtTV/TruTV) also freelances for government publications, corporations, and advertising firms. You can find her (with a bright-red notepad) reviewing plays or concerts, tasting the food at recently opened restaurants, or wandering around at local festivals. She also frequents award galas and charity balls. This is not because she is actually invited, but because she is reporting on them.
Her government work includes writing for the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, for which she’s interviewed some of the nation’s top pathologists, medical examiners, doctors, and veterinarians. She once witnessed the dissection of a brain, but didn’t stand very close to it.
Robyn has coached the German National Women’s Lacrosse Team, toured the best sausage festivals of the United Kingdom, made three-tiered sandwiches at a deli in Pittsburgh, and once saved a child from drowning - purely by accident. She has a lot to write about.
